Core Services
We provide services to adult clients who have been assessed through the Single Entry Point System with the Department of Social Development. We are able to offer a wide range of services to our residents.
24 hour nursing care
Orchard View provides care services from a variety of licensed and non-licensed providers; Registered Nurses; Licensed Practical Nurses; and Resident Attendants.
Attending physician
The attending physician does weekly rounds at Orchard View and is accessible 24/7 to our nursing staff.
Nutritional assessment and therapy
Nutritional therapy is provided by our consulting dietitian and dietary team members who provide delicious home-made meals.
Recreational therapy
Recreational services are organized by our Activation Manager who provides individual programs, group programs, entertainment activities and therapeutic activities.
Spiritual therapy
Local clergy provide regular services for residents of a variety of faiths.
Hairdressing services
A licensed hairdresser holds salon hours once a week on site, offering a full range of hairdressing services.
Laundry services
Personal laundry services are provided for all residents.
Housekeeping services
Housekeeping services are provided for all residents.
Maintenance services
Facility maintenance services are available 24/7 for regular repairs and emergency response.
Rehabilitation therapy
A rehabilitation care plan is developed with a multidisciplinary team to strive for a maximum state of wellness for each resident to support their participation in normal daily activities.
Pharmacy services
Pharmacy services are provided by Jean Coutu who works closely with Orchard View employees and our physician.
Transportation
Orchard View offers transportation to residents at a mileage fee for various medical appointments.
Volunteer services
Several volunteer groups and individuals enrich resident lives through a variety of services.
Financial services
Orchard View’s business office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm which manages residents’ accounts and their comfort and clothing allowance. A financial assessment must be completed by the Department of Social Development prior to admission to determine eligibility for financial services.
Transportation Service
In the spirit of helping area seniors remain in their homes as long as possible with independence and autonomy, Orchard View Long Term Care has developed a Transportation for Seniors initiative.
